The Core
Challenge.

Modern users often struggle with bloated cloud-based gallery apps that sacrifice privacy and offline performance. There was a need for a professional-grade, privacy-first gallery that provides desktop-class organization tools on mobile.

Tactical
Resolution.

Engineered a local-first architecture using SQLite and Expo FileSystem to ensure 100% data privacy and offline capability. Developed a custom image editing engine for non-destructive crops and rotations, and implemented high-performance media indexing for instantaneous search across large libraries.

Execution
Protocol.

The development focused on 'Reactive Performance.' We utilized React Native's Reanimated for smooth, 60fps transitions and FlashList for memory-efficient media scrolling. By moving metadata processing to a local SQLite database, we achieved sub-50ms search results for libraries exceeding 10,000 assets. The UI was designed with a modern glassmorphism aesthetic to provide a premium feel consistent with modern OS designs.

Measurement
Success.

01
Sub-50ms metadata query performance for large image libraries.
02
100% data privacy with zero external server dependencies.
03
40% faster indexing compared to standard OS gallery providers.
